Syllabus or Course Spesification

Planning the learning process is an inseparable part of the KPT. In accordance with SN Dikti, as stated in Permenristekdikti No. 44 of 2015 Article 12 Paragraph 1, the learning process planning is prepared for each course and presented in the Course Spesification. Course Spesification is established and developed by lecturers independently and/ or collaboratively in a group of experts in a particular area.

Regulation of the Rector of UNS No. 582/ UN27/ HK/ 2016 concerning the Implementation and Management of Undergraduate Education. That the program is required to prepare the Course Spesification and Learning Implementation Plan (LIP) in each course. Course Spesification  is the learning process plan for one semester, while LIP is the learning process plan at each session.

As a part of the Course Spesification, as referred to in Article 12 paragraph 3 Permenristekdikti No. 44 of 2015, the Course Spesification contains at least: a) name of study program, name of course and course code, semester, credit, name of lecturer, b) learning outcomes of the course, c) learning outcomes for each learning phase to meet learning outcomes, d) study materials related to the ability to be achieved, e) learning methods, f) time provided to achieve skills at each stage of learning, g) student learning experiences in form of task obliged to be done by students for one semester, h) criteria, indicators, and assessment weights, and i) the list of books and journals as reference for study.

Course Spesification must be reviewed and adjusted regularly with the development of science and technology. The learning process of each course is carried out according to the Course Spesification with interactive, holistic, integrative, scientific, contextual, thematic, effective, collaborative, and student-centered characteristics.

The UNS Course Spesification was then referred to as the RPS UNS, which was developed from the syllabus format in the CBC. The terminology of learning objectives and components of learning process planning are shown in table 1
